Attacking an arcane eye?

Airwolf

First Post
I have a question about Arcane Eye.
I want one of my BBEG's to use it. I suspect that the party will realize that the eye is there and watching them. My question is, other than a dispell magic or greater dispelling can the eye be attacked or damaged by other spells or weapons?

Thanks.

If a spell effect can be affected by weapons or damaging spells, its description says so. For examples see Mirror Image, the Bigby spells, or Prying Eyes.

The Arcane Eye description does not list hit points, an armor class, or anything similar, so I'd say the sensor is immune to damage.

You might rule that the eye can be targeted by Blindness. Or an area effect like Glitterdust, Holy Word, or Sunbeam could blind the sensor. However, the rules are a bit ambiguous on whether those could work, since it's not clear that the magical sensor counts as a "creature".

AS, I had wondered about blindness too. If one of the characters has blindness and casts it I think I will let that affect the eye. Thanks.

I want the characters to notice they eye and have to come up with a way to be rid of it. I suspect that a dispell would be the best route.

HS, the gaze attack suggestion is a great idea. It could really mess with the caster, thanks.
