Antimagic Field & Permanency

I know Antimagic Field isn't ruled as a spell thatat can be made permanent, but by the RAW, what would be the Minimum Caster Level and XP cost if I wanted to house rule it?

How do you cast a Permanency on something that negates magic? Would the P stick or would it just be immediately "AMFed"?

That was my thought, too. I wouldn't allow permanency to be cast on antimagic field.

I'd rule that you cant cast permanency on an antimagic field that's already in effect, but if you want to have a permanent antimagic field you need to work the antimagic field into the permanency ritual, and actually finish both at the same time. of course, I'd make you target an object. Then if the object is removed the antimagic field leaves with it.

!!!!! Antimagic Field Gear! for the nonmagical party!

Antimagic Fighter Armor.
or maybe
Antimagic Arrows. - Transfer antimagic field to the target on hit. (not permanent)

So nifty!

You know there's an alternative way of looking at the problem. Larry Niven came up with the concept of magic being powered by Mana which could be used up. One of his characters figured this out by creating a magic spinning disk that would accelerate without limit as long as the magic held out. Eventually it would use up the magic, leaving a dead area where magic didn't work. IE. an anti-magic field. Of course this leads to potentially all sorts of interesting problems, if the "Magic Goes Away" or can go away.
