A Good, Blank, Character Sheet I can download and type into?

I'm looking for a descent 3.5 character sheet I can download and type directly into. Not a PDF to print out, unless it's also got forms so I can type data directly into the PDF.

I don't really want a "character generator" because none of them ever do everything I want to, I just want something that looks nice, I can enter data into, save, and print out.

Here's a .pdf that I did all the forms for. You won't be able to save, however, unless you have the full Adobe Acrobat...Reader won't let you save.

Let me know if you have any comments on it.

It does not give you negatives in the ability score areas. I have a character with 9 wisdom and it still says 0 for the ability adjuster.

Other than that, very spiffy.

Try this in Excel. It self-calculates.

Very nice. Thanks!

As I was looking around the web, I remembered seeing a really cool character sheet for 3.0 that used the graphics from the ORIGINAL AD&D character sheet. With the boot fot speed and the sheild for AC. THAT would be freakin' awesome. If I could just find the graphics, I should be able to format a sheet with them.

Doh! Hmm. To be honest I stole the calculating language from Dave McAllister's self-calculating Spycraft Character Sheets...I actually don't know what I'm doing with that stuff. Maybe someone more computer literate than I am can help?

Basically the formula is set up as [(Ability Score)--10.5]*0.5

So, a score of 9 would be -0.75, which for some reason is rounded up by Acrobat to 0 instead of rounded down to -1.

Even numbers below 10 work though...so as long as you have 2, 4, 6, or 8, you're good...bleh.

Our group has been using the SSA's D&D Character Sheet v2 for a little while now and we like it. It is a tad bit slow, but otherwise works well, and as a bonus there is a work around for people who don't have the full version of Acrobat but still want to save their character info.

Think you've got a corrupted file there. Downloaded it, but Stuffit Expander gagged while decompressing. I'll try it again using MacLink Plus and then Norton Anti-Virus if that doesn't work.

(Yes, MacLink and Norton Anti-Virus will decompress files. )
