It's summer in the Northern Hemisphere, which makes all kinds of articles about AC pop up on line in the US, anyway. (And its in my head since I spent the week before last in a tent and am back in doors now).

I'm in South Carolina, so for part of the summer it often doesn't get below 80F (26.7C) until after midnight and the humidity is 50% and up (often way up).

Doh! The 77-78F should obviously be 24.75-25.75C and not just 25.75C

When I was in Boston, we had two window ACs, and we set them around 73-74F, if I remember correctly. It was a second floor apartment with lots of direct sunlight and tended to warm up aggressively in full sun.

Now, here in SF, we don't have AC, window AC, or an evaporative cooler. Part of this is because we're west of the Mission heading up into the hills towards the Sunset, but we're also in a "garden-level" apartment with very little direct sunlight (none after 10 am or so). We're usually about 10-20 degrees cooler in our hobbit hole than the temps outside.

No AC here - it's simply not very common in Germany. Two weeks ago, I wished I had one, though.
If I had AC, I would probably set it to 24 or 25°C in the living room (where I also work when not in the office), and 21 or 22°C in the bed room.

My AC is normally 21 but prior to combat I often cast Haste or Shield of Faith.

;)

I have no form of AC in the house. It's relatively hot where I live (it's early afternoon and 93 F right now), but it's arid and I have tall trees in the yard that shade the house. I haven't had AC since I lived in Louisiana, where it's a basic necessity; in those days, I'd keep it at 68 F.
