The perfect cRPG for old people to get a taste of the hobby?

Well Pokémon is perhaps the most accessible JRPG of our generation. But playing it on PC would involve illegal activity which I can not condone.

West of Loathing/ Shadows over Loathing have even lower graphic requirements, and good writing to boot. Great picks if comedy western/horror are your's friend's jam.

Relaxed Intensity
Greedfall, Witcher 2, Deus Ex series and Cyberpunk 2077. About as close as you can get to playing an actual protagonist in the CRPG space. Lots of impactful choices, multiple approaches to most challenges, rich characters with varied relationships to your character.

Probably the best games are not RPGs at all - the Crusader Kings games. Deeply integrated into the setting, game responds to your actions in unusual ways. Complex decision trees that let you decide who you side with and set your path. Everything great about tabletop RPG play.
