D&D 5E Tempest Domain lightning and thunder

So I was going over the list of cleric spells with Lightning and Thunder damage and the answer was none except for the spells in the Tempest domain list.

Now it is cool they get two ways to do lightning or thunder damage (1 at first level another at eight level) but I was thinking about allowing any cleric that had abilities around specific damage types to change radiant damage to a type of damage that gives them a special ability.

However it looks like only Tempest clerics have any special powers around damage type and allowing them to convert radiant damage to lightning or thunder damage might be too potent. On the other hand having cool powers that only affect 3 spells isn't very fun especially when call lighting doesn't work indoors very often (well if you get a big enough room).

It's too bad that Knowledge Domain clerics don't have some psychic damage type attack
Life has radiant
Light has fire and radiant
Nature has acid, cold, fire, lighting and thunder
Trickery has poison
War has extra weapon damage (bludgeoning, piercing or slashing)
Death probably has necrotic
