I had no interest in seeing the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie, but I was delighted to see that someone had come out of Spider-Verse and said "hey, can't we do something more interesting with our animation style, too?"I'm not particularly a fan of Spider-Man as a character (though also not a hater), but everything about this looks to be huge fun, and the complex, modern visual style is absolutely fantastic. The vast majority of animated movies totally fail to make use of the medium, and instead just emulate either filmed movies, or earlier animated movies, but in 3D, both of which seem, to me, a hideous waste and a failure of imagination.
This is the second time they are doing it, so I hope they resist the temptation to do it in part three as well.Bonus points for the scene that uses the meme created from the 1967 Spider-Man cartoon
There goes that surprise
It's just fanfic. Here's our 'New Trailer' concept for Sony Pictures' upcoming animated movie SPIDER-MAN: ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE (PART ONE) (2023), which is a sequel to SPIDER-MAN: INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE (2018) (More Info About This Video Down Below!) 🕷
That's what happened with 'Bad Guys' and the latest Puss in Boots movie. Even The Mitchell VS the Machines has its own flare.I had no interest in seeing the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie, but I was delighted to see that someone had come out of Spider-Verse and said "hey, can't we do something more interesting with our animation style, too?"
Good call. I've seen all of those and there were all gorgeous. TMNT is probably the most stylized of the post-Spider-verse movies, based on the little that we've seen. That's what happened with 'Bad Guys' and the latest Puss in Boots movie. Even The Mitchell VS the Machines has its own flare.
