D&D (2024) Speculation on the art in the new core books

The design principles of the 5E Halfling are great, it's the handful of pieces from the PHB that are just not fully up to par. I think k they can improve it...they have over the past decade.

Lidda doesn't look like a halfling to me. Mechanically, I like halflings. But it's so hard to depict them in art in ways that feel right to me.

• An adult halfling must look like an adult. It cannot look like a child. If for nothing else than the potentially mature storylines that can occur.
• Every core race must be recognizable via their silhouette. If you can't tell if it is a halfling vs. a human, elf, gnome, or dwarf, that doesn't work for me.
• Halflings must be uniquely different than gnomes. If I can't tell which is which, it doesn't work for me.
• No bobble-heads or super tiny feet.
