Shield bash with a buckler

I was looking through the Players HB and I was wondering if you could shield bash with a buckler. And if so what die type damage would it do.

Also could such a " bashing " be used with the shield expert feat in the sword and fist? Meaning, could a player bash with his buckler and still get its armor bonus to his AC?

I'm kinda confused about this one because the players doesn't really say one way or the other as far as I've seen.

Any help would be appreciated.

Description of buckler in equipment section of PHB: "You can't effectively bash someone with a buckler."
