Under the Indigo Moon from Mountainland Games
  • END DATE: Fri, January 26 2024 4:00 PM EST.
  • SYSTEM(S): Dungeons & Dragons Fifth Edition with stats for Pathfinder 1e and 2e, Shadowdark, and OSRs
  • PROJECT TYPE: Adventure
  • MOST POPULAR PLEDGE: $1 for the PDF of the adventure plus VTT maps and tokens
  • WHY SPOTLIGHT THIS CAMPAIGN? This adventure offers conflicts, some of the expected violent nature while others are more philosophical in design. Baron Feathermont hires your party to clear out some druids so he can farm their land. This adventure may be a straightforward land grab or your party might decide that they’re on the wrong side of this conflict. This is a one-shot adventure for levels 4 to 7, which includes a new Druidic Circle (Circle of the Full Moon), new monsters, new magic items, lore, and maps for battles and the region. In addition, all of the stats are available for many of the most popular fantasy systems. If you’re looking for an encounter where there’s a question about the morality of your task, this book may speak to you.

Whispers of the Woods - Narrative-Driven Tabletop RPG.png

Whispers of the Woods - Narrative-Driven Tabletop RPG from Heltung Storytelling
  • END DATE: Tue, January 23 2024 12:01 PM EST.

  • PROJECT TYPE: Core rulebook
  • MOST POPULAR PLEDGE: €30 + S/H for the PDF and print versions of the book
  • WHY SPOTLIGHT THIS CAMPAIGN? This is game is minimalist and offers a few lesser used game mechanics. Taking inspiration from “18th-century history, Slavic and Germanic legends, the art of Arthur Rackham, and von Goethe's writing”, this is 80 pages with a lot of options within a small book such as group play with a GM, GM-less, and solo rules. In Whispers of the Woods, you play as villagers journeying into the woods, whether for a fight, a parley, a rite of passage, or a picnic will depend on your gaming table. This uses a d6 for all rolls, but some are standard roll-and-report-the-result whereas others are roll with your eyes closed and guess the result. Along with the rules is a hex map generator that has plot hooks and encounters. If you’re looking for a fairy tale-like experience with varied mechanics, check out this campaign page to learn more about the game.

There’s info on the various planes of existence as well as over 100 NPCs and monsters, new magic, 50+ new magic traits, and more. The World of Celia - Free Cities of Ravosa Regional Guide is, as the name implies, a sourcebook expanding on the setting, a collection of cities that just won their freedom. In this adventure, you’ll enter the Magus-King's abandoned palace to face off against monsters as you search for treasure. This book offers 20 creatures, a mapless combat system better suited to solo play, and a chance for your character to level up as they delve. Vesenia Lindsey of Vesenia Designs brings Pulsey, her energetic character, to a series of cards, each depicting the character’s fantasy adventures. As a product, it’s 22 cards to draw from to use in your game as a prop. While they do not have any in-game stats, they may trigger some roleplaying and adventuring ideas. This project was inspired by D&D and “homebrew campaigns by RolePostiveGaming on Twitch.” If you’re looking for an art card series, this is a fun, cartoony offering.

  • WHY SPOTLIGHT THIS CAMPAIGN? Are you a fan of retro video gaming from the 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s? This zine series takes you down a rabbit hole of interesting games, thoughts, and memories. In the first issue, you’ll find thoughts on The Legend of Zelda, River City Ransom, Twight 2000: The Video Game, the first Shadowrun video game, Gameboys, and more. Since I wrote for the first issue, I’m not an unbiased source, but if you love retro 8-bit, 16-bit, and many-bit video games, these zines will speak to you.

Everything's Fine
Anyone ever played Coven & Crucible? I love the art, wasn't sure about the game itself so didn't back the kickstarter (the second one that actually funded and delivered)
