that isn’t any kind of actual thing. plenty of legendary and fantasy dragons have 4 limbs.

True Dragons are generally considered to have 6 limbs, and in D&D always have. Removing limbs from D&D true Dragons outside of Injury just would be a step too far for me in their design.

Apparently Playtest 7 being on the 7th (Lucky 7!) was too good an opportunity to pass up, even if they need to make the UA a week or two late to make it work!

Sure... But it's medieval (and has a long history) and it's the reason why D&D dragons have six limbs whereas wyverns have four. ¯\(ツ)/¯

I predict there will be more stuff then just classes, they need to get started on the other stuff like spells and feats and maybe new hybrid race rules that they have planned.

Okay. I would generally assume every single person here knows about European Heraldry to some extent. That doesn’t have any impact on the fact that changing the body plan of dragons wouldn’t make them “not proper dragons”, as if that were some objective rule that everyone agreed on.
