Hello my lovelies and good fortune to you all! It’s a fresh new month which means there’s a fresh new batch of Paizo-related updates coming your way – that’s right, it’s time for the PAIZO NEWS UPDATE! Let’s get down to business!
First up to bat is another entry in Paizo’s little gems for GMs line of products. Who needs to worry about lugging tackle boxes full of miniatures around when you can just keep a handy binder sleeve of everything you need? Pathfinder Pawns: Enemy Encounters Pawn Collection is another of the excellently-crafted sets of sturdy cardstock pawns and plastic bases, these seeming to cover most of the common enemies your parties will encounter early in their dungeon delving careers. There are duergar, goblins, skeletons, zombies, ghouls, gnolls, kobolds, ogres, orcs, and xulgaths. What are xulgaths, you ask? Why, they’re…fancy troglodytes, according to a quick search! Get them all and skip the worry and paint!
Next up, it wouldn’t be a Paizo News Update without a bit of radio announcer voice! This month is no exception as we have not one but two different adventure paths to continue – so let’s get to it!
Previously, on the Dawn of Flame Adventure Path, your intrepid heroes have discovered new and powerful methods of diving deep beneath the surface of a star just in time to root out a sinister cult of zealots intent on using unknown technology to summon an eldritch evil entity! While you were able to keep one bubble-city safe, the forces of evil have marshalled again and taken control of the bubble city Kahlannal. Can your heroes successfully infiltrate a city in the sun guarded by efreet? Can you take out the leaders of the invasion force and restore order to the city? WILL THIS BE ENOUGH TO STOP THE INEVITABLE INVASION? Find out for yourself in Starfinder Adventure Path #17: Solar Strike!
If you’re in the mood for something a little more old-school, worry not! The Tyrant’s Grasp Adventure Path is preparing its newest episode as well. Your heroes have gone to hell and back (well, to death and back) always managing to just stay one step ahead of an ancient and terrible lord of death and undeath. With the help of a lich queen you brought the battle to Tar-Baphon, the Whispering Tyrant, but even that was not enough, and you are spirited away to the distant continent of Arcadia. Can your characters navigate the horrors of that long-lost land? Can they make use of an artifact embedded in their very souls? HOW MANY MORE BIZARRE NAMES CAN PAIZO COME UP WITH LIKE JOLIZPAN?! Find out for yourself in Pathfinder Adventure Path #143: Borne by the Sun’s Grace!
Even as Pathfinder 1E comes to a close, we know they’re not leaving their precious Golarion behind, which means it’s all the more reason to pick up the new campaign setting book coming soon! Pathfinder Campaign Setting: Druma: Profit and Prophecy (wow they probably should have pumped the brakes on punctuation there) is an in-depth gazetteer about the wealthy and theocratic dwarven nation Druma. Immerse yourself in the dwarven politics and competition, explore primeval fey ruins, decipher the esoteric Prophecies of Kalistrade, and suffer the wrath of ancient grudges!
And that about does it for this edition of the PAIZO NEWS UPDATE! What are you most excited for in the coming month? I have to say I’m normally partial to all things necromancer, but the idea of an efreet invasion spilling out of a conquered sun is too evocative for me to pass by. Till next time, my friends!
