DEEP SPACE ADVENTURE #10 - MOON OF MYSTERY

MISSION REPORT: Thanks to the new remote survey probes developed and launched by Wayfarer Inc, we have been receiving dozens of reports regarding new worlds and places of interest in stars systems not yet explored.

A priority report has arrived from probe WI-X8311 ‘Destiny’ regarding the Alpha-Beta-Hotel System, specifically the second of three moons of the gas giant, named Billiard’s Moon.

This frozen world houses what appears to be the city ruins of a long-dead civilisation. The moon is ice covered and dangerous, but the gravity of 1.02G and the thin atmosphere means a team should be able to safely explore and return an initial survey report. The coordinates have been transmitted and we await your return.

ECHOES Central out.

DEEP SPACE ADVENTURE #11 - THE TWELFTH BELL

Whichever faction hires the PCs to obtain the list, they give them a promise of a huge payout that will set them up for life as well as take care of generations of their family following them. It's an offer they can't refuse, surely?

The Explorers are hired by one of three factions to recover a list of the names of cyberspies and return it to their employers so that they can us the information to uncover and neutralise potential security threats.

The information was gathered by agents of the independent Free World of Horizon, incredibly important ship builders for many nations, for their own ends.

DEEP SPACE SUPPLEMENT #4 - THE EXPLORER'S COMPANION

A 2-page supplement for the Deep Space roleplaying game.

It’s a big galaxy and there’s a lot going on, so you’ll need every advantage you can get when travelling the deep dark of space, trading laser fire with enemies and blasting starships between asteroids. Or something. This supplement gives the players a few options for their Explorers, including a new way to create characters as well as an option for expanded character improvement.

Note that all of these are optional and best serve the game if implemented before the campaign begins and not during.

DEEP SPACE ADVENTURE #12 - WING & PRAYER

The Explorers travel to the Paris Space Station in the Conglomerate to plant a nuclear explosive on to the Wing & Prayer, but somebody is trying to beat them to it.

PARIS SPACE STATION

There are many space stations across the star systems of the Conglomerate and they are primarily starship shipyards and dry-docks. Many have outlived their usefulness and been scrapped in favour of newer and more effective facilities and others, like Paris Space Station in the GOLF-CHARLIE-ORANGE system (ST1, Planets 2 – Gas Giant R8, Gas Giant R9), are coming to the end of their service.

At this time the station is almost empty save for a few functioning bays and some storage compartments. The traffic is almost nil and it seems very alone above the white and grey gas giant. This means a lot can happen... and nobody will know.

DEEP SPACE SUPPLEMENT #5 - A SPACE TRADER'S LIFE

A 3-page supplement for the Deep Space roleplaying game.

Life in the spaceways ain’t all zap-boom adventures or blast-crak excitement like the Buster Harris show, peoples. There’s serious business out there and if you can get the right ship, the right cargo and a half-decent crew, you can make a serious amount of Sterling amongst the stars.

Of course, you
can always have a go at zap-boom and blast-crak stuff; there’s money to be made any which way.”

Cmdr. James Sonne of
‘The Daring Dan’

There’s a lot of planets out there and the Star System Generator in the core rulebook lets you create a multitude of random worlds. Each of these worlds has a score for Planetary Resources and the higher this is the more desirable a world is because of it’s natural resources. These scores also indicate how wealthy a planet is, so the higher the score the more money it generates as it ships it’s resources off-world. This is where Space Traders come in.

Using the Planetary Resources Score (PRS), they can work out how much money they can make from a successful trip to another world and what kind of cargo they can expect to find. But it all starts with a starship.

DEEP SPACE SOURCEBOOK #4 - THE CAPITAL STATES

The Capital States contains 19 star systems in its territory, nearly all of which have habitable worlds and are within 75 light years of each other. It is one of the largest nations in explored space and, without doubt, one of the wealthiest, with very few planets in its borders below a Planetary Resource score of 8. Because of this, space traders and businesses flock to its banner in the hope of easy money.

One of the first nations to rise during the first exodus from Earth, the Capital States will do anything to hold onto the power and wealth they have built – and stolen – over the years.

DEEP SPACE SOURCEBOOK #4 - THE CAPITAL STATES is a 2-page book providing information and stats for the nation including key persons, military forces, starships, and the government system that keeps it's people happy... and controlled.

DEEP SPACE ADVENTURE #13 - THE ICARUS CONTRACT

The Explorers have been tasked with taking an old transport vessel to the world Tango-Hotel-X-ray from the decommissioned space station Icarus for scrapping.

The Icarus station was in a location of contention; it was built as a Freeport but the nation was accused of using it as a listening post on three other territories. Now that the Freeport is no longer profitable it is being scrapped, and any starships still berthed there are being taken to Tango-Hotel-X-ray to be disposed of.

Easy.

Right?
