Looks like backers get a playtest version of the game, and it is the whole thing (other than the ranger, which they are rebuilding...I assume we'll get an updated version at different points in the process).

I'm really divided. It might be a "wait and see." I don't know if it will be something I'll actually use.
I'll be shocked if I ever play the game, but I like the way it reads, like what the owners have done for the hobby, and I'm just buying the PDFs.......I steal the escalation die for some 5e fights, and am likely to steal more things (and I've brought in a few monsters over the years from 1e).

I was in the first edition kickstarter and never regretted it. They are having an early bird offer for the first 48 hours, my Bulette level is in for hardcovers and PDFs of both books.

BTW, Pelgrane Press, the publisher, was the one that pushed Bits & Mortar - if you buy the hardcover from any FLGS (but not Amazon or a chain store), they would send you the PDF for free for a picture of your receipt. I think they got a few other publishers to sign on, I really wish that caught one bigger.

Rob is fun to talk with. He’s always up to something that he can describe in ways that let you share his fascination.
A few years back, Rob and Jonathan came to Gamehole Con and ran 13th Age. I played in both of their games and both were amazingly fun to talk to during the game. Rob in particular taught me a lot about the game and its intent, but he was also enthusiastic in a way that the best people in our hobby can be.
