"Maybe four," Zander whispered to Loreen. "And maybe the drac. In which case we are done for regardless." he shrugs.

"When you open it I'll give the all clear to whoever is there that will hopefully put them a little off and the rest of you can ambush them."

Adjusting the grip on his hand axe just in case Zander nods to Loreen. "Ready?" he asks.

OOC: When the door opens...

..."Hey! Cat Piss!" Zander yells through the barely open door. Giving the password for everything is clear. "It's me Zander." he states as the door opens the rest of the way. Deception 1d20+3 = 14

Encounter: Bardaby & Beast Boys & Cultists vs Bob & Pyrus

Round Five

As the rest of the Dispensables moved toward the north door, Pyrus took note of the aftermath of his detonation. Bardaby the Beast, was on fire and falling to the ground, as was nearly everyone else in the room.

A quarrel from a crossbow banged off the door near his head, and Pyrus took a step back. More men moved into the room, but much more cautiously now, watching those already there roll about, burning. The barricade was on fire as well, as smoke and the smell of burtn flesh filled the room.

Suddenly Bob, hairless and smouldering, leapt to his feet and ran a javelin through a Beast Boy who was bending over Bardaby, trying to smouther his flames. Another Beast Boy moved toward them, and Bob threw another javelin, skewering the man. By then, the mercenary with the metal jaw had put himself out, and slammed his axe into Bob's back, dropping the big barbarian for what, by the gods, should be the final time.

Then more mercenaries fired crossbows at Pyrus, and it seemed like it would be a good time to join the others. Pyrus could see more cultists, led by a Priest of some sort, coming through that south door - cautiously, but they were coming all the same.

GM: I've split the groups into two posts again. It's just soooo much to keep track of. And the map won't fit everything. Other group to follow soon. Sorry, Prickly!

Round One

The Dispensables readied themselves to go through the north door, not being sure what was behind it.
Zander gave the code-word, and Loren opened the door. For a brief moment the guards were confused: They could see Zander, but a stranger was coming through the door. They hesitated only a moment, long enough for the Dispensables to lay in with an attack, which for the most part, the guards defended against.

Then the front rank thrust halberds at Terrus, while the back rank fired crossbows at him.

GM: I'm starting this as if it is a totally new fight to clear up the clutter. Zander's deception ruined their readied actions, but they still got a turn (not quite "surprise"). If Terrus' AC is 17 like it says in my notes then he was hit twice, otherwise not. Let me know. Also, Terrus and Zander can do their readied actions, and then still take a turn after that.

Zander dives low as the bolts fly past him and tries a side arm toss of the axe in his hand.

The weapon flies well off target skidding across the floor of the room. "Troll crap!" the warrior swears as he uses the confused looks on the faces of the guards to quickly push by them and into the room.

OOC: Well can only say at least my first combat roll of the game wasn't a 1. Nope it was a 2 lol

Still slightly confused and thinking Zander is being chased, the guard lets him pass without attacking, saying, "Get in here and watch what yer doin' with that axe!"

OOC: I assume we're attacking the guys to the North?


Pyrus will close the warded door and move to join the rest, blasting the guard at I11. (DC 14 dex save or take [roll0] fire damage)

Terrus will rush the room, attacking the guy to the right of the entrance. ([roll1] damage [roll2])
