Detect Magic Vs. Magical Trap

Hi there,

can a detect magic spell reveal a magical trap like door traped with a slay living spell or a illusionary terrain hiding a pit.

if yes, is there any way to hide the magical aura from the spell?

Yes, Detect Magic can detect the Slay Living Trap.

Nystul's Magic Aura can be placed upon the door to cloak the magical dweomer from Detect Magic. However, Identify or Analyze Dweomer will reveal that this is false if the caster succeeds on a Will save. Note: this spell can also be used to place misleading magical dweomers on objects.
