Can you equip magic weapons/armor in WOTC Char Gen?

I've been playing with Chatr Gen as my character progresses in levels, and up unitl now I had no reason to equip magical items. Now that I have a few I would like them the be equiped. What I found is that although you can purchase basic magic items you cannot equip them because Char Gen 1.2 doesn't have "magic" as a type of item to be equiped. How do you get around this?

Actually, you can't. It's a significant limitation of the CharGen Demo. MT will have this, but it's not out yet.

While you're still using the Demo though, be sure to download Caz's updated datafile for it with lots of new stuff (though you still can't equip magic).

i know its horrible but if you spend 15 min to get used to it pcgen is in many the place to go for a complete character generator. its at http://pcgen.sourceforge.net
it can do everything the wotc can do, and much much more.
