Eventually, I plan to have my players interview a number of NPC’s in Saltmarsh, to hire a crew for a caravel sailing for the Isle of Dread.
Saltmarsh: the iconic seaside fishing and smuggling town where the AD&D U series “Sinister Secret of Saltmarsh“ begins, as detailed in DMG2 for 3.5e and done again (better imho) in 5e’s “Ghosts of Saltmarsh”.
I want a lot of choices, so my players can choose from good, bad, useful, and less-than-useless crew members. My campaign is 3.5e, in Greyhawk, but I’m not looking for stats.
What I’m looking for is nonadventurer sailor, ship’s carpenter, ship’s cook - or anyone else who wants on a long distance ship possibly without the right skills - character ideas. I have a captain and navigator/first mate, and a few sailor idea, but I want more. Got one? Apply below.
