Dungeon Crawl Classics What is cool to you from a player perspective?

I'd call DCC something it's really fun to do in a one-shot setting, but not something I'd want to play a campaign of. I've played a couple of funnels, and the best one was run in the modern era with a slasher/cthuhlu cultist mentality. Our funnel characters were members of different social...

Judges Guild Makes Statement About Goodman Controversy [Updated]

This thread being updated gave me hope on release info for the project. Sad noises from me.

When the top sci-fi RPG meets the top fantasy RPG

This is really interesting. I would not have imagined that there would be this much Traveller support in 2026. Makes my heart feel good. I will be really surprised to see what this looks like. 5E and classic Traveller are separated by a huge gulf in terms of gameplay, so I'd think you'd either...

What I Like About Nimble 2e (So Far) — A Partial Review

Definitely. To me it is also creating a powerful incentive for a particular playstyle. You are going to be up in the face of the bad guys, and if they're attacking you, you're hurting them back. It makes me wonder how this will make the GM adjust their playstyle. I'm really going to have to see...

What I Like About Nimble 2e (So Far) — A Partial Review

The way Radiant Judgement works is whenever you're attacked, if you don't have any judgement dice, you roll them. The next time you attack you cause that much extra damage if you hit. Hit or not, they're expended. Is that too good? Don't know. Thinking about it, you don't get it until you're...

    Nimble expansion

The host for my in-person game just sent out pictures of the gaming table he's building. It will eventually have space for a TV to place flat for maps. I am beyond stoked to run this game. We're getting together at a quieter bar/restaurant to make characters over some drinks. Very exciting times!

What RPG(s) did you stick with an earlier edition?

Well, we're sticking with 5E over 5.5 so that's one. I also am not a fan of the latest CoC, so earlier editions for that too.

D&D General How do you do smart chaotic evil?

I'm not sure if this is mentioned but say, "I am helpful, am I not?" a whole bunch. (This is an NPC from the Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous game that is ... something else).

    Rolemaster Unified Releasing December 3rd

If you don't mind one more Foundry RM question, what's actually available in Foundry? I see the Core Rules, Creature Law, and Treasure Law. Do they have Spell Law yet? I'd love to do a test with this, but Spell Law is kind of a necessity.

    Rolemaster Unified Releasing December 3rd

I am a huge fan of Rolemaster from days of old but I don't know if I could handle it in 2026. One of the things I'm really interested in is that they have released the entire product line as Foundry modules. So the game would be entirely automated. This really intrigues me. My gaming crew...

AI/LLMs AI art bans are going to ruin small 3rd party creators

I'll just be direct: it doesn't matter what I want. And what I have done is help artists who want to get started in the gaming industry get commissions. And help people who are just getting started writing for RPGs use the tools they need to express themselves. And help my friends who have...

How Do you have an adult conversation?

I think this is a really good question, but it's also so far outside of the skillset that most people have, that it takes a lot of effort. The thing I would recommend most is reading management books (okay, subscribe to a management YouTuber or TikTok ... whatever they are in 2026). I will...

AI/LLMs AI art bans are going to ruin small 3rd party creators

It's been my experience that many restrictions that are meant to be helpful really help only established companies with deep pockets, rather than those it is meant to help. That's why large companies don't object to a lot of things that they know they can absorb, but will destroy their smaller...

GameHole Con 2026 - What to expect?

All I know is all the cool kids are going to be there. But seriously: great con attendees, lots of gaming. Okay food. Deluxe custom sodas are spectacular. There are a ton of different games running, and a lot of the people who make them show up. As we get closer, I'm sure there will be a...

    Nimble expansion

I'm pretty stoked this made a million. Looks like fun will be had by my group. I mentioned it and all 6 players pledged. I better run a good game. No pressure.
