Sounds like a DM call to me. We know that making a person invisible normally includes their clothes and any objects they pick up or stow away in their possession. At least in fantasy (H.G. Wells' The Invisible Man is a different story). I would rule the same for an invisible treasure chest and anything contained therein. This certainly seems more in keeping with tropes in fiction.That said, this is all about hiding treasure; and making a treasure chest invisible doesn't do anything about the treasure inside said chest other than make it easier to see....
