Your first min-max trick with d20 Modern

Blacksad

Explorer
Level 2 character
Base Wealth Score 2d4 (average 5)
Windfall Feat 3 times (+9 wealth score)
Profession(Waiter/Waitress) 1 rank (+1 Wealth)
Student (+1 Wealth)

Average wealth +17 (when you rise in level you do a profession check vs your wealth score to increase it by +1 by 5 points by which you beat the DC).

Military License purchase DC 20

Fragmentation grenade purchase DC 15

The vampire would have taken Alex much more seriously if he had min-maxed his wealth score :D

Any others? (if possible not on wealth score)

P.S. I first though that the system was borrowed from Dragonlance Fifth Age, a Saga Companion, but the author Charles Ryan(?) from the RPG R&D staff never read this book.
I think he should have, alongside the customer feedback on it, this would have enticed them to strengthening the system (if it is possible), or used a more standard one.

Perhaps some name were changed in the french version, he is the best friend of willow, dated cordelia, and in the latest season he dated a girl who used to be a demon.

Anyway, the SRD is released, no one wants to do some min-max fun? (infinite grenades was cool at level 2, but I'm sure that there is worse).

You can't gt infinite granades this way:
Along with this loss, any time a character buys an object or service with a purchase DC of 15 or higher, the character reduces his or her current Wealth bonus by an additional 1 point.

Remove one windfall feat, and you can do the trick with dynamite at 1st level, it's much less impresive though :(

Interesting how almost all dangerous items for balance sems to have a DC15 while in Real Life some aren't that costly.

BTW, are arrows (DC 8) harder to come buy than ammunitions for guns in the U.S. (lowest being DC 4)?

Hum, another min-max trick

Ranks in Craft(mechanical), build plate mail and sell them :D

A single box of 100 rounds of .22 caliber ammunition costs less than $10.00 in the U.S. Corresponding ammunitions (12 gauge shotgun shells, 9mm ammo) are more costly, but attainable.

Arrows are limited by their quality and availability. Arrows are only available in sporting goods shops, and are more costly per arrow than a bullet is costly per bullet.

But, the newest arrows are reusable, so less need to be produced or bought.

Most of the time you can reuse your aluminum, steel tipped arrows.
