While it doesn't quite work for my project, I thought sharing and seeing if you have different opinions would be fun.

As it says in the header, which species and class represent which Canadian province?

Here goes nothing.

  1. British Columbia
    • Race: Wood Elf (due to the lush forests and connection to nature)
    • Class: Ranger (reflecting outdoor lifestyle and conservation)

...and this just got me banned on rpg.net for racism? <scratches head>

This was just a silly, silly thread having fun with canadian stereotypes?

No racism was intended.

mods at enworld, if you want me to delete it, I will do it immediately. :)

For Ontario I think I'd go Dwarf, Artificer - to reflect all the manufacturing and resouce extraction.

For Alberta it'd be Orc, Fighter - 'nuff said. :)

Yukon would stay Half-Elf but get Barbarian as its class.

Not at all sure abut Tiefling for Manitoba but I just can't think of a better alternative.

Man, this is really bad. I object, as a Quebecer, at being reduced to gnomes with a flair for dramatics. That's the typical passive-aggressive Canadian view of Quebec.

And of course, Ontarians are humans with education and innovation, especially in tech.

Your biases are showing. I've reported you.

You got banned because you cannot reduce 8 million people to one archetype. It's grotesque. The problem with this kind of classification is what the author chooses to leave out and what he highlights. Classification of people is a form of race science.

- Quebec has a large aeronautics and aerospace sector (Bombardier, Canadair and Airbus). Quebec built the legs of the Apollo LEM that landed on the moon. Who do you think invented and constructed the water bombers that helped during the California Palissade fires?

- Quebec also has a large pharmaceutical industry. It has a shipyard that builds military and commercial ships. Quebec built freaking huge electric dams in the Bay James that electrifies New York.

And yet we are 'dramatic artistic gnomes'. Grotesteque and racist.
