D&D 5E Which Invocations

So I’m making a Sorlock pact of the chain Hexblade/Divine Soul and I was wondering what would be the best invocations for it. I’m grabbing Agonizing Blast for sure. The question is what invocation would be best between Gift of the ever-living ones, voice of the chain master or devil sight?

My favorite is Devil's Sight. I am playing a Sorlock in our CoS game and it is pretty awesome dropping darkness on your target and being the only one who can see perfectly fine. :)

But, otherwise, there are a lot of good ones and you really have to think what your goals are.

The invocations are really varied, allowed a lot of different builds. Given that you went with Hexblade, I'm assuming you're doing a melee build. Fiendish Vigor is particularly good, since you'll start every combat with 8 Temp HP (you keep casting it until you get the max). Thirsting Blade is obvious at level 5. Eldritch Smite is nice, giving you the option of some nova-ish damage (best saved for a critical hit). Gift of the Ever-Living Ones is great since you can heal yourself. And as always Devil's Sight is probably one of the best for any combat style.

Misty Visions is the most powerful invocation in the game.
Gift of the Ever-Living Ones is great if your game is combat heavy.
Otherwise Devil's Sight for general usefulness.

D&D is an RPG. A role playing game. Characters play a role in a story. Tell the best story you can with the mechanics.

What do you want your character to do? If he is a trickster, unlimited illusions makes some sense. If he is a melee force, then turning his weapon into a magic weapon is a good idea (when he can have that invocation). Look at the abilities and ask which one works in your PC's story.

Is this likely to give you the most powerful build? No. But that doesn't matter. Most powerful isn't going to make the game better for you. Most fun will. As a sorlock, you're already amped up enough in power that trying to be supper efficient with every little choice is just a waste.

I have played a lot of tricksters and I want to try something new. The character I’m going to play is a half-elf who is a descendant of an Aasimar and an elf who is a descendant of the Raven Queen. That’s why I have trouble picking since Voice of The Chain Master is where my raven familiar can mimic my voice. Then Gift of The Ever-living Ones could be my ties to the gods making me tougher to kill. How I would flavor devil sight is that the feathers of a raven create false images of where I’m at.

I like your concept. Since you are going pact of the chain, we can dump the Blade Pact invocations. The warring dual nature of Shadow and Light between Hexblade and Divine Soul is fun. Since you don't want to be leaning the trickster route maybe focus on searching out lost souls that are trapped in the Shadowfell instead of heading to their Outer Plane resting place. Maybe you will help them to their final destination or maybe you are trying to trap them to give power to the Raven Queen?
Bouncing off your raven feather idea, maybe take Cloak of Flies and reskin it as a shroud of ravens feathers or even a murder of crows. Ghostly Gaze would play up your ties to the realm of death, so can Shroud of Shadow.
If you are only dipping into warlock, it will change recommendations. Devil's Sight is a fantastic ability, but it is a double-edged sword when party members can't see in the same darkness.
Ultimately, pick a theme for your character. Which side of their heritage will they favor? Then think of how they will advance their calling. Pick the invocations that fit. You can already avoid trickster invocations and pact of the blade invocations, so there isn't a ton for you to choose from especially if you take the pact of the Chain options. Are you using Eldritch blast? There are a lot of options there too.

Honestly, misty visions is one of the best low level choices.

I would recommend gift of the everliving ones from that list. It's a good healing buff when voice is more for using a servant and devil sight pairs with darkness. Those can come later.

How does the rest of your party fight? Darkness blinds friends as well as foes. Your melee friends may not appreciate you making it hard to find their targets. OTOH a Fireball-happy Wizard can just target "the center of the dark area" and proceed as usual.
