What is there to do in Burlington, Mass?

My employer is sending me to Burlington, Massachusetts tomorrow, for a few days. Judging by Mapquest, Burlington is a distant suburb of Boston which is named after a shopping mall. Is there more to it than that? Are there any interesting things to see/do? Any good book or game stores? Or will I end up spending my evenings sitting in my hotel room watching cable TV and drinking Sam Adams?

I won't have a car, so it'll be hard to get to Boston proper.

My deepest sympathies! ;-)

I worked for a company headquartered in Burlington, MA
and it's a one-horse town. There's the mall, which
is huge, but not much else -- though if you're looking for
computer game/bookstores, there's the place. There's a "Legal
Seafood" restaurant in the Mall which is supposedly one of the
best seafood restaurants in Boston (or so they'll tell you.)
A couple bars -- one across the street from the mall and a couple just up the road from the Marriott Hotel.

You may be able to get around with the hotel's taxi service and
they can point you to ways to get to Boston. If you had more time
or were staying over a weekend, I'd recommend going to
Boston, but if it's just a few days, stay local, rent a few flicks, try
a couple of the bars, learn the turf in case you have to go back.

There is a nice big Barnes and Noble bookstore and a movie theatre across from the mall, if nothing else.

It isn't what I'd call a "distant" suburb of Boston. Originally from New York, distant to me is 45 minute commute time, without traffic. Burlington is only a short trip down the interstate from Boston proper, really.

there's one of those at the airport too. (Logan airport)

Len, if you don't mind me asking - who do you work for? My employer sends me there from time to time to help out with one of our suppliers - iRobot, Corp. Just wondering if we work for the same company... :p
