weapon cost for a composite longbow

What is the cost for a Masterwork Large Composite Longbow with a strength mod of +11?

Do you apply the cost of the strength mod before or after the x2 large modifier? What about masterwork cost?

What if it's a +1 weapon instead?

Masterwork cost is a flat +300gp. Strength increases are a flat +100gp/per.

That's how I read it, anyway. Apply magic costs at the end.

Jdvn1 is correct.

Technicaly, I think the max bonus is +4 for a normal sized bow, but I know that many people break that rule. If you want, you might tack on +50 gp per point of strength over 4 to compensate for the extra reinforcement.

Non-magical cost for +11 Str masterwork Comp Longbow of medium sized: 100+300+1100=1500

Magical cost= 1500 + Magic.

Size modifiers modify the base item cost.

Only the basic weapon cost is doubled. Note that where it says that a large weapon costs double, it is specifically referring to the numbers in Table 7-5 under the "Cost" heading. Nothing else is doubled.

You missed my question. How does this interact with the cost modifier for Large weapons?
The price increases are flat. If they were applied before the x2, then the price increases would be increased x2 as well. This doesn't happen, though.

I think that was just a rule in 3.0. There's no such limitation in 3.5.

I am more interested in what scenario this becomes important?
Whenever you're making a large composite bow with a strength rating of above +0? Am I missing something?
