Undead / Vampire Hunter Prestige Classes

I know there was an undead hunter in 3.0, but I was wondering if there were any official prestige classes for combating the undead in 3.5 that have a decidedly melee feel to them as opposed to the divine / sun worshipping kinda feel.

Sure, Hunter of the Dead got updated for 3.5. It's basically the same as the original. You have to be able to turn, but don't gain turning progression. Basically you are best off using those turn attempts to fuel divine feats like divine vengeance (+2d6 dmg to all attacks for a round against undead) or divine might (+cha to dmg for one round).

Well, in addition to Hunter of the Dead, there's the Skullclan Hunter from the Miniatures Handbook. You might also look into the Shadowbane Stalker from Complete Adventurer. If you are capable of casting 1st level divine spells and have sneak attack, the Gravestrike spell is worth serious consideration.

And while I know you said you'd prefer more martial and less sun worshipper, check out the Radiant Servant of Pelor and the Searing Light based PrC in Libris Mortis. Both of those would make effective Vampire hunters.
