Folks:
I am thinking about writing something up for different unarmed combat rules for 2E. Currently, my group is using the Unarmed table; however, we find it odd that we are able to get a percentage chance of knocking someone out, and individuals who use weapons do not.
The latter, was even more noticed – when I had a fighter who was specialized with Cestus, and had multiple levels in Punching. I noticed the ‘min/max’ creep, so I scaled back, and stayed within the party capabilities. In addition, I was playing by the rules with the armor penalties, and so forth.
Due to the above statements – I wanted to see what the 2E community on Enworld has done with Unarmed combat in their game? I am not saying the rules are broken, so I am not starting any rule interpretation battles; however, I am looking for some ideas on how Unarmed combat can be streamlined and brought into the same combat rules as weapons.
Thanks
JJ
