It's an origin story. This could be fun to watch once it goes streaming. Not sure I would pay theater prices to see it.

I see some real potential. It's probably a poorly edited trailer. I like that they've gone back to animation. I'm sure another live action is coming. The GI Joe crossover if anything. But it is nice to see animation. Megatron almost looking like he used to kinda shook me in a weird way.

I always love the story about how, due to the mass trauma inflicted on children at Optimus Prime's death, it made them rewrite GI Joe so that Duke survives thanks to a throwaway ADR line.

I was kind of a twisted child and didn't suffer any sort of trauma related to the death of Prime or the death of Artax the horse in The Never Ending Story. Not that I realized it at the time, this was just a cynical ploy on the part of Hasbro to get kids to buy the new generation of Transformers toys because the olds ones had or were ceasing production. I didn't actually Transformers the Movie until 1987, and by then I was losing interest in Transformers, GI Joe, and all the other toys I used to play with. It was the last Christmas I received any GI Joe toys, and I got a few good ones. I don't think I got any Transformers toys in 1987. I didn't care about any of them by then.
