D&D 5E Throwing goblins

Am a new dm and player and was playing the starter set and one
my players wanted to throw a goblin that fell (due to a crit failure
and whould be funny.) so I let her grapple and throw at a outher goblin (did a str save for it)
so how whould that whould have worked in the rules. And is it posable in the rules. It was to
funny to say no

I would probably treat the Goblin as an improvised weapon. (D4) It sounds kind of fun as a once in a while thing, but if players start doing it too much, I would start imposing disadvantage on most attacks made this way unless your campaign in centered around dwarf tossing and goblin throwing.

You did the right thing! Always try and say yes, even if there's nothing specific in the rules that support it. Between ability checks, saving throws, and attack rolls, there's always some way to make it happen.

Ditto this. I would sort saves and checks a bit more carefully, but otherwise you made the right call.

As for slippery slope concerns, I disagree. I don't see this as starting a trend.

Once successfully grappled, I'd say a goblin becomes a d4 weapon (range 10/20), non-proficient, that does damage both to the target and to the creature thrown.

One of my players took the Tavern Brawler feat. What sold him on it was the ability to throw goblins with proficiency...
