Description: Ringlics are small raccoon-like humanoids. They tend to be very curious and like to find out what’s inside things. They have a natural talent for locks and very high manual dexterity. They have thick fur and resemble 3’ tall upright raccoons. Their hands are very well developed. Sometimes ringlics live in hidden lairs inside the cities they scavenge from, making themselves true and persistent nuisances.
Combat: Ringlics prefer to avoid combat and are easily spooked. They often have arms and armor scavenged from other races’ battlefields and refuse heaps. Ringlics are extremely capable thieves. They speak their own language and sometimes learn the tongues of other creatures that live near them (for example, elven).
Skills: A ringlic has a +2 racial bonus to Open Locks and Pick Pockets checks and can use Open Locks even if untrained.
Ringlic Characters: A ringlic’s favored class is rogue. Ringlics are ECL +0.
Again, how's the ECL look? And is CR 1/3 about right, do you think? Three of these guys to challenge a 1st-level party... Kobolds are CR 1/6; how do you think these guys compare?
Why do kobolds only have half a hit die, anyway?
