Barbarian ability "Thick Hide"
While you are not wearing any armor, your Armor Class equals 10 + your Dexterity modifier + your Constitution modifier.

So what happens if I find some leather of fire resistance and my con bonus is higher than the AC bonus the leather armor provides. I have to drop my AC to gain fire resistance? Not very satisfying.

Then what if I find Robes of fire resistance? Are robes armor? If they are not, are we going to end up with a really odd world where barbarians contend for caster gear!?

Im finding this rule rather odd and cant help but think it better worded as

While wearing No Armor, light armor or medium armor, you may use your 10+Con Bonus in place of AC of the armor worn.

Wouldn't it be tighter to make it "You may use your 10+Con Bonus in place of AC of the armor worn for which you have proficiency"?

Pity the barbarian in ring mail, who somehow has proficiency with heavy armour.
