The stats of Gygax and Ao

Since when has Gygax been an overdiety? He's a real person. The "creator of Greyhawk" in the sense that it was his campaign setting. Is there some other self-insertion of Gary besides Zagyg Yragerne?

As for Ao, his stats are "no". Like the Lady of Pain, Ao is a plot device, and thus beyond the need for statistics.

Demiurge out.

Never really tried to stat myself out, really. At least, not in d20. Average Strength, Decent Dex, Slightly Below Average Con, Decent Intelligence, Decent Wisdom, Average Charisma. Definately an Expert or Smart/Fast Hero.

What?

Damn it! I'm a plot device? I more like to think of myself as a power beind the scenes (or screen).

But yeah, They shouldn't have stats, they shouldn't be worshipped, they shouldn't be in the foreground at all. And for the gods sakes, the Lady of Pain should not speak (or invite you to tea).

Fantasy names = real names backwards is pretty lame.

Nice, constructive remark. Why the snippy attitude? :\

A lot of those early Greyhawk names have goofy origins like this one (e.g. Drawmij, Leomund, etc.). The same goes for Blackmoor.

But sure, let's act superior and make snarky comments about the naming practices of the folks who created the hobby 30+ years ago. How charming on your part.

I actually used an anagram of my own name for a character once. Izar Talon. Pretty cool I think.

I dont know that Gygax has been a diety in any setting that Ive seen, actually :)
