[QUOTE="sigfried, post: 9273501, member: 1798"] Well, in my opinion, there is nothing especially political about accepting and embracing the wide variety of humans there are, especially when the context is an RPG. Rights for the disabled and everyone else, that is political as its public policy, but still, for me, its just being a decent person to accommodate people and treat them well. It's political, but I personally kind of fight for the idea that it shouldn't be political or controversial to have diverse people in any storytelling medium. Our games have a pretty wide diversity of images and characters, very intentionally, but I feel like we do it in a way that is fairly natural and of course, it includes some pretty standard action movie stereotypes as well. I'm happy that despite that very intentional effort, we didn't get a lot of flack from the right side culture warriors on that. We got one guy ranting about pronouns on our character sheets, and that's about it. So, we have some clearly LGBTQ+ characters in our book, but I've yet to hear a fan complain about any of them. Our owner is black and touts that he's one of a few black owned RPG companies. My co-designer uses they/them and the company kind of wears its attitude on its sleave for the most part. Point is, I think you can hold to inclusive and diverse ideals without triggering the knee jerk politics of our sad modern discourse, and I tend to go that way. I honestly just want the game to appeal to a wide range of people while staying true to my personal values and my love of the full range of what it means to be human, which for me is so much richer because we all have our own ways of doing that.
