The Primal Order and the gods game.

Hello Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone here has seen the web sites for something called the Gods Game? See links below:

or the Primal Order roleplaying game to produce their world for a campaign? If so how did it go?

I am intersted in trying this method but I am a little leary of having players play the gods in a campaign. That much power in the game could be very destructive to any kind of on going story I would want to run. Any suggestions, Comment or advice would be greatly apprieciated.

Thanks in advance.

I bought the Primal Order but I couldn't get people to play it. They would have rather played in a Shadowrun game where they started out with more magic and money than usual. Apparently, having lots of power is only fun if you're the most powerful guy around. I quit that group, by the way.

In any case, the rules were a good and fun read. I suggest picking it up if you get a chance. But there were some copyright violations so it is unlikely you'll see a copy floating around.

I haven't played either but I have run a Godlings game in Rifts. Godling is basically a little stronger then a demi god, but not as powerful as a full blown god. It's been going for about 10 years now and has been a lot of fun. You just have to realize that gods can do a lot and change adventures accordingly. Frankly, it's helped me run high level campaign in D&D.

Primal order, I already own a copy

I have a copy of the Priaml order and even found a second ed version of the game too. It was a rare find but it happened.

What I was intersted in was if anyone had used a multiplayer game system to handle the actions of the gods in their games and used that information to generate a campaign setting for others to play in.

I would like to get some complex religions going on in my campaign sort of like what we have in reality but not that deep of course. The best way I could think of doing that is going to a group of people to detail their worship and create their own race of people to populate the world. It could be fun but how susecssful has it been in the past?

Please advise.
