The only fiend types of those I don't know are: Tzaretch and Qlippoth . Care to divulge some info?
Also, I feel you should have a category devoted to Far Realms inhabitants such as the Neh-Thalggu, The Kaorti, and the Uvuudaum, as these creatures are clearly fiends. :D

Also, for the ELH:

CR: 21
Abomination: Chichimec (generic Daemon due to alignment)

CR: 25
Abomination: Phane (generic Demon due to alignment)

CR: 26
Abomination: Infernal (Daemon, Demon, or Devil, dependant on alignment.)

CR: 27
Uuvudaum (generic Daemon by virtue of alignment, should perhaps belong to another grouping?)

CR: 30
Abomination: Atropal (generic Devil due to alignment)

CR: 31
Abomination: Dream Larva (generic Demon due to alignment)

CR: 34
Abomination: Phaeton (generic Demon due to alignment)

CR: 36
Abomination: Xixecal (generic Demon due to alignment)

CR: 57
Abomination: Hecatoncheires (generic Demon due to alignment)

Later, and very good idea. :D

Although I applaud the time and effort put into this, I find it odd that you used the stats in Tome of Horrors for Orcus rather than those in the Book of Vile Darkness....

I find it odd because Orcus is (and has always been) weaker than Demogorgon, and his stats and CR in BoVD (however anemic) reflect this far better than the material in ToH.

Otherwise, nice effort here. I'm not convinced that the CRs offered from different companies are really all that comparable, but this would be nice to have in a collection.

Krishnat: I don't have the ELH. Thanks for the info.

Qlippoth are from Armies of the Abyss. They are a bit like the Ancient Baatorian of Planescape, but on the demonic side: they were there before, but they've been pushed out of rulership by the Tanar'ri. (The whole story being that they had mastery over flesh and created all sorts of abominations, including the Tanar'ri. Eventually, the Eladrins came and kicked them severely in the butts. When the Eladrins left, the Tanar'ri rebelled against their weakened masters and drove them into hiding.)
All you can know about Tzaretch is found there.

I may start a new thread latter with CN and LN outsiders, as well as the creatures of the Far Realms. (I don't see them as fiends, myself -- IMC, they're especially freaky because they comes from outside of the cosmology. They're not supposed to even exist.)

The Serge: Actually, when confronted to duplication, I just duplicated. For example, you have a Locust Demon in AoA, and another Locust Demon in CC2. That's why you see Demon Locusts at both CR 10 & 12. Similarily, you may find both Piscoloth and Piscodaemon, or both Shator and Shaggy. So Orcus is there at 28 and at 36, Juiblex both at 20 and 28, etc. List'em all, let people sort 'em out. ;) The only concession I made was giving Geryon the title of "Great Serpent" (one of his nickname) rather than "Lord of the Fifth", and Moloch "Seneschal of Baalzebul" (his real station in the ToH) rather than "Lord of the Sixth".

Bumping.

Sorry, I havn't worked on a list of celestials or neutrals... Nor on far realm creatures. But the "Outsider by plane" thread is a good start.

Also, I recently noticed that Juiblex is named Jubilex in the Tome of Horror, and it's a voluntary name alteration (not a typo), to get Jubilex as Necromancer Games' IP. So I should replace the CR 28 Juiblex by a CR 28 Jubilex.

Updated. The R-in-a-circle symbol (®) has been used to mark 3.5 beasties, when the CR is not the same as 3.0.

Someone linked to this page from another thread, and I enjoyed it so much I thought it was worth a bump. Turns out I wrote or updated more than a dozen of the creatures on the above list, which is quite an honor. Fiends are by far my favorite part of the D&D package.

Glad people are still enjoying "Armies of the Abyss."

It's a good book. It's just sad Amazon doesn't seem to want to send me the Book of Fiends -- it's been delayed for a long while now...
