The Chamber of Secrets and my cliff notes

Stone Angel

First Post
So recently due to an article that stated something the second Harry Potter that was small, would play a big part in the newest book. I have decided to make notes on the book, symbology :D , origins and such.

I am just reading right now, taking minimal notes and such, I did however notice that in "The Burrow" Ron has some comics titled "Martin Miggs, the Mad Muggle" I thought hmmm...Maybe they are refferring to Mel Gibson's character Martin Riggs the crazy man from the Lethal Weapon series.

That just struck me as funny.

Now I am going to have to go back and re-read the books, I don't remember that, but I bet there are a lot of little details I somehow let slip. That is an interesting observation though. :)

Knowing Rowling, it'll be something completely unexpected. If we list all of the things we think it could be, we'll know it's none of those things...

The ghoul in the attic of the Burrow...
Something seen in the Forbidden Forest...

We know Lockhart doesn't come back. But somehow I have a sneaking suspicion that the answer is contained in one of his longwinded self-absorbed speeches that I had to supress the desire to skim through. Sigh...guess I'll just wait and see.

Actually I came across something last night. It has to do with Salazar Slytherin.

The title of the next book is "The Half-Blood Prince" usually Rowlings titles are a good theme upon the book. Now this takes a little bit of reasoning but it is not unplausable. I am not yet finished with the book this time around but here we go.

Who do we know that speaks parseltongue?

Salazar, Lord Voldemort, and Harry

Lord Voldemort and Harry are linked by Trelawney's prophecy in book 5, and Dumbledore's reasoning that Voldemort chose Harry do to his lineage, no being of pure blood.

This has led me to believe that Salazar Slytherin himself detests mudbloods because he himself is one.

While this is not as conclusive as I had hoped this is the best as of yet maybe something else will show up but there isn't much more in the book, or maybe it will come to me while I do the cliff notes.
