What is The Armory?
My aim is to make it the most deluxe and fun RPG guide for modern weapons that has yet to be published. To do that, we genuinely need support in the Gamefound so we can afford our ambitious goal to have all the weapons in the book fully illustrated in color.
The plan is a 256 page hardback book, with more than 700 equipment entries, around 600 or so weapons. Each with a description, brief history, stat block, and color illustration. I’ve been working long hours over the past few months bringing the manuscript together and getting it just right!
The entries are for the Everyday Heroes system, but I and the other game designers have taken pains to include statistics compatible with other 5e based games, as well as a full guide on converting Everyday Heroes unique game elements.
The size of the book has allowed me to include weapons from nearly every age of history, dive deep into the last 200 years of firearms, and even look into the near future and imagine wholly original armaments. I’ve tried to balance representing the most iconic weapons of action cinema, the most widely used military small arms, and a host of oddities and unique weapons perfect for roleplaying fun. Everything has been deeply researched and will be passing through the hands of our editor who is also an accredited historian.
And like everything I do for Everyday Heroes, I try to pack the book with nothing but quality game content, interesting details that enhance play, and a dash of sly humor.
So, I’d love it if you'd come take a look and sign up to be notified when it goes live on July 9th 2024! This crowdfunding campaign really is about making sure we have the support we need to afford to fully illustrate the book in a way that’s never been done because of the cost needed to pay for more than 600 original color illustrations.
