Synergistic Demon slaying weapon

I want to design a multi-part weapon that is meant to combat powerful demons. (Yes, similar to the rod of seven parts)

The idea is for each individual piece to have a minor power, and as they get added together, more powerful options are available.

For example:
Each individual part can cast Detect Evil.
Part 1-2 together allows Bless
Part 2-3 together allows Prot from Evil
Part 1-2-3 allows the above, and DR 10 from Fire.

Now 1-2-3-4 may not provide any benefit... or perhaps 1-2-3 provides no benefit, and 1-2-3-4 does...

I am really open to suggestions. Even just ideas of good/cool powers to use would be great.
Minor powers, medium powers, major powers.... The players will start finding these around 2nd level, and find about 1 per level (or so) until the big face off around 10-13 th level. (as the plan goes... we will see.)

I know this seems ovious:
*Give holy property
*Give axiomatic property

*Protection from chaos
*Dispel magic (works wonders against uber buffing)
*Prayer

*When all parts are put together: Holy sword (but something crazed, it does not supersed all of the weapon's previous powers)

Let's see... the end product should be +10 total:

+4 Enhancement
(+1) Evil Outsider Bane
(+1) Chaotic Outsider Bane
(+2) Holy
(+2) Axiomatic

So it will deal (weapon damage) +8 +8d6 to a Demon any time it strikes, and it will be +8 to attack Demons. The weapon(s) must be made of Cold Iron.

Powers:
1/ Bless Weapon (on itself) -- auto-confirm crits vs. Evil critters
2/ Detect Evil
3/ Bless (centered on self)
4/ Remove Fear
5/ +1 smite evil/day
6/ Magic Circle vs. Evil (centered on self)

(Not sure, but I think "bane" properties don't stack for one same enemy (Ej: Evil Outsider Bane and Chaotic Outsider Bane gives a total +2))
The rules don't say anthing about this, so, technically, they do stack. However, this is not true for the ranger's favored enemy bonuses (which don't stack for creatures who fall into multiple favored categories), so it's plausible that bane stacking was just an oversight and counter to the designer's intent. I'd rule they don't stack.
