Stats for a pot-bellied pig?

First Post
One of the casters in my campaign wants a pot-bellied pig as a familiar. We can't find stats for pigs anywhere though... anyone have a clue or might be able to post them? I understand that one of the 3rd-party familiar's book might have them in there, but I hate to buy an entire book just for those stats. Anyway, thanks guys! :)

...Damn.. and here I thought "Oh! Someone's running a Ranma 1/2 d20 game. Cool!" Heheh.. I'd just wing it, similar to the other familiars. Tiny animals aren't all that special. I've never seen pig stats, unless you want a boar. Start there, maybe?

Depends on the size of the pig. Potbellies start small but can get pretty large if given the chance, getting up to 200 lbs.

I'd do this: get any special abilities or skills from the boar stats, scalled down a bit. For the rest , use modified dog stats. Pigs are slightly slower but just as dextrous as most dogs in terms of dodging, though they don't jump as well. They can be tempermental and whiney, so they are a little less charismatic. They can overheat easily, so their constitution may be a point or two lower. Also, they are smarter (though in animal terms this may not change the stats).

I think I'd probably have them give a +3 bonus on Survival checks, really for no other reason than they 'seem' hardy because they're pigs and because they're pretty much found everywhere. Beyond that I agree, I'd probably use the stats for a dog as a starting point. I'd also insist that it be named Wilbur.

The print version of Tournaments, Fairs, & Taverns has stats for pigs, if I recall correctly. I'll hook you up when I get home and have a chance to crack my copy open.

Dangerous Denizens: the Monsters of Tellene lists several pigs, including the Elenon Saddleback, Rokalel Red, Sisalisido Hog and the U'Rudaketan Potbelly. There are no stats, just a suggestion:

For the statistics of an average adult pig, use the boar entry from the D&D Monster Manual, replacing the gore attack with a bite attack doing equal damage.
