WOIN Starship Construction Manual "Size" column for modules

This is possibly a reading comprehension fail on my end, but what are the letters such as S, M, E, L, and G, used for in the Size column on many of the ship components? I can't find anywhere in the book that references what this value is used for - is it supposed to limit what types of components are available based on hull class?

Size categories in WOIN are defined in the core rulebooks-- Small, Medium, Enormous, etc.

OK, I was able to find a description of all the size categories on page 179 of N.E.W. in the Objects section, thank you! So, Size is used to determine the Defense and Health of these components, if say, a saboteur were trying to attack them from the inside?
