As far as a reference for use in character creation?
You'll want the file attached to this message which was created by one of my players. It's up to date and includes all data as of
Galaxy of Intrigue. It will be updated later this month (for the last time *sigh*) to include
Unknown Regions.
Charts include Tables, summaries and all page references for:
- All Species
- All Species Traits
- All Heroic Talents
- All Prestige Talents
- All Skill Applications
- All Force Powers and Regimens
- All Force Techniques and Secrets; and
- All Equipment
I highly recommend subscribing to the Ennie Award winning Order 66 Podcast either at
D20 radio or better still, simply via iTunes. I can't praise the Podcast highly enough. It is not only very entertaining, it is a VAST resource of information on the game with hours upon hours of interviews with the SW:SE designers as well and hundreds of hours on the game and how the underlying crunch works.
The single most useful episode of the 100 they have now released is Episode 37: The List. But get em all. Really. No better way to assimilate the
Star Wars: Saga Edition system then through the osmotic pleasure that is the
Order 66 Podcast.
What can I say? I love the Order 66 Podcast. Simply the best RPG Podcast on the Intertubes, imo. By the way, D20Radio's downloads for SW:SE are not intuitively located - but you can find them
here.
The
D20 Radio forums are also exceptionally useful as well.
Jonathan's (Donavan Morningfire's link) to his NPC book in his signature above is a real gem. Grab it. Now.
There is also some exceptionally useful fan created
sourcebook material over at fandomcomics.com. Go there and grab it all!
I would highly recommend grabbing (hell Web-SPIDER it while you can) the
Full WotC Star Wars Archives while you can.
Please note: most of the miniature previews include full
Star Wars: SE stats for NPCs and Beasts. You will not get these write-ups on the Star Wars minis cards - they are available
only in the WotC preview write-ups. I draw their existence to your attention as they are eay to miss when you are going through things on the archive list quickly. You may dismiss them as fluffy marketing hype. Don't do that. You'll want to copy paste all of that info somewhere and save it.
There is a good chance ALL of the WotC Full Star Wars Archives will
vanish as early as the end of April, 2010. That's about two weeks away!! The archive is almost certain to vanish by the end of August 2010.
So do not delay. Grab the WotC Full Archives now while you still can. When the license is up and WotC can no longer support the game under the license - that material is almost certain to vanish into the ether.
