Star Wars food menu!!! need help please

Hello everyone,

I am not as creative as I'd like to think I am. I am trying to put together a menu for Star Wars (you know... dinner entrees, deserts, and drinks - especially drinks). Can you help me?

I'm looking for suggestions - serious and outrageous. Thanks in advance.

Honestly?

Just find a regular menu, and add "[random nonsense word]-ian" in front of each dish.

Well, I think the serious as well as the absurd is valid here. The reason I am trying to get such a list/thing is that Star Wars doesn't have "lamb chops" or "martinis" or stuff that my players order at bar/restaurants/clubs when their characters are there. They end up saying, "whatever the equivalent of a gin and tonic is and whatever the star wars version of nachos supreme is".

No... They've got batha steaks, and baked tubers instead. Seriously. That's straight out of one of the novels.

Anyway... Here's a banquet menu straight out of WEG's Lords of the Expanse Star Wars campaign setting:

* Mon Calamarian seafood finger foods.
* Stuffed Plavonian starfish
* Raw Rockfish twists
* Grilled sea cucumbers in a blanket
* Algae-bread
* Duros Ale
* Coruscant blush wine
* Bothan brandy
* Mistwater imported from Barnaba

Soup

* Ukian Torbull tail soap
* Neonan red cheese
* Freshly baked bread

Salad

* Fresh greens from Barnaba
* Coruscant red wine vinagrette

Main Course

* Roasted Rodian Karstag with algae-bread stuffing
* Baked Corellian tubers
* Steamed Verdian vine beans

Dessert

* Barnaban Mist-pudding
* Herglic algae ice cream
* Corellian air cake

Here's a little gem that's almost a running gag in my games, and ends up making at least one appearance in nearly every campaign I run, whether it's D&D, Star Wars or something else...

Roe Beer.

That's right. Beer made out of fish eggs. Fishermen, aquatic and amphibious races tend to love the stuff. You can experience the unique flavor of roe beer in the real world by mixing together the drained off juices of canned tuna, canned sardines and canned oysters with seltzer water and a heaping spooful of salt. Salty, fishy and carbonated! Enjoy!

Basically, pick a planet or animal/plant and attach an appropriate food item or preparation technique (respectively) from Earth history.

There've been a lot of food items of that sort slipped into the Star Wars comic books. Can't think of any off the top of my head.
