Squeezing in combat.

Taking into account the rules for Squeezing, could 2 Medium or Small allies squeeze into the same 5-foot square when in cramped conditions (suffering the usual -4 attack/AC)?

Technically, I don't think squeezing applies to simply occupying the same square...which would call for shunting of the invading character.

I think it would take a house rule to allow it, but I don't know if it would be a good thing or a bad thing. What goes for the goose...

The simple answer is no.

You can’t end your movement in the same square as another creature unless it is helpless.

The squeezing rules implies a physical barrier (like a wall) that makes the square smaller than 5'. It does not indicate you can apply squeeze rules on any 5' square.

In some cases, you may have to squeeze into or through an area that isn’t as wide as the space you take up.
