Sports-themed RPG's?

Has there ever actually been a sports-themed roleplaying game, one in which the players play athletes in whatever professional sports league (preferably an existing sport, but a fictonal one could do as well), roleplaying both the actual games and the life in-between games?

Yeah, I know that such a thing could be easily done using a system like GURPS or d20 Modern, but I was just curious if such a specifically-tailored game already exists (I haven't heard of any, but perhaps I somehow missed it). :)

Kayfabe:the RPG

I played a trial of WWE the RPG at Gencon a couple years past, it was pretty cool, Never seen a d20 football or anyother sport unless you consider X-Crawl

Not too long ago I was thinking that a dice game (ala dragon dice) that emulated a baseball game and players would be fun, especially if it could be used to emulate a whole season, with chances for putting certain dice on the DL, etc. . .

Well Bloodbowl is neither a real sport or a RPG, but it should count.

Street Fighter is sort of like UFC, which is sort of like a sport. And it was made into a RPG.

That's what I was thinking, as well. I think that with a copy of the Bloodbowl rules and the current WFRP rules, you could cobble together a fun game. Bloodbowl rules! :D

Given the popularity of The Fast and the Furious and a string of related video games, I'm surprised no one has come out with a street racing RPG (auto racing is a sport).

Welp, I know of the WWE RPG, the baseball clix game, and Bloodbowl (love that game). There has been a musician RPG. I don't remember the name but it looked like you are some kind of emo rock star or something, but I can't think of a single sports-based RPG.

When a game designer thinks of a sports-based RPG, does he go into horror-filled flashbacks of his highschool days when the jocks would beat him up?
