I have question about the shape mind blade feature for the Soulknife that what forms can you shape your mind blade into without any psionic feats? Is there a complete list of shapes that someone did?

Without any feats, the mind blade has the stats of a short sword. Later (4th level, iirc), you can change it into a bastard sword or two short swords.
But this is all mechanics. Appearance-wise, the mind blade can look like anything the DM agrees with. There's a kalashtar soulknife/atavist in Races of Eberron whose mind blade looks like three crescent moons forming a triangle.

Complete Psionics has feats that allows the Soulknife to form certain specific exotic weapons (1 per feat).
Dragon #341 (or one very near that number) has a Class Acts article that has feats that let the Soulknife pick any single weapon as a mindblade form, form multiple daggers for throwing, or even forming a shield. Using that article, a Soulknife could actually have a sword & board build with only his psychically created weaponry.

Why waste feats to shape mind blade then just allow them to form other weapons in the simple category?

As the class is written, it's shortsword only at Soulknife 1-4, then at Soulknife 5 you get the option of shortsword/dual shortswords with -1 to hit and damage (countered by the fact that they're already +1 by this point)/bastard sword (still need feat or Powerful Build to wield one-handed)/longsword.
[tangential rant]Oh, and according to the latest official FAQ, Soulknives now automatically generate a shortsword no matter what shape their mind blade was when they "put it away" last time, and then have to shape mind blade every fricking time they get into a fight, thus being the only melee class that has to automatically wait until round 2 to fight with their preferred weapon (or weapons if you want to be a Two-Weapon Fighting Soulknife). I guess they thought the class wasn't weak enough yet.

My players and I have pretty much decided to go with the common sense approach and ignore this little bit of advice. LA-LA-LA-I'M-NOT-LISTENING-LA-LA!

Hmm ... guess it is good I don't read as much of this stuff as I used to ... less opportunity to be dissappointed. Ah well. Add me to those who ignore this. Phooey. As if ... well, never mind.
