Still guilt-ridden about the destruction he caused while he was Zod, Lex (Michael Rosenbaum) throws a charity costume ball for the town and hires the All-American Rejects to perform. Meanwhile, Clark (Tom Welling) and Chloe (Allison Mack) pursue a creature who uses male human bodies as potting mix to procreate, and the hunt intensifies after the creature gets hold of Jimmy Olsen (guest star Aaron Ashmore). Lois (Erica Durance) reluctantly agrees to be Oliver Queen's (guest star Justin Hartley) date to Lex’s ball. Kristin Kreuk, John Glover and Annette O’Toole also star.​

The plant-woman subplot left me cold, and Lana continues to be my least favorite character, but Jimmy Olsen! Mister Action himself! Woo!!! Also: Olly was cool.

Much better than last week's by-the-number affair. And I warmed up to Ollie more this time around.

I had my wife watching the episode and gave her a brief update on Green Arrow and how he wouldn't miss. She read it right and sid he would miss om purpose. Then we both were shocked to see he had hit the tab

I liked it, plant woman battle was so anti climatic but nice to see them doing something with the Phantom Zone people

A number of zingers in this one made me smile...

Jimmy: 'you made me drop a log' - when plant woman scared him in the woods
Jimmy: 'did you just pattle me' - to Chole

Good to see them move from the metor-rock freak of the week BUT just concerned they are going over board on the zone bad guys. Still feel they should have left Clark in the zone longer for some character devolopment, he could have faced them there. Being noble is a hell hole is more dramtic.

Overall not bad.

Yeah that battle was over way to quickly.

Definitely anti-climactic, but I enjoyed the overall storyline nonetheless, finally moving Lex and Lana forward, as well as clarifying Chloe's relationship to Clark and, now, to Jimmy.

And yeah, I loved Jimmy's goofball lines, too.
