Rules for Dwarven Runes and Runemaster

Giorgio

First Post
Hello All,

I am looking for assistance in finding a good set of rules for creating and using dwarven runes in my campaign. I have the Quintessential Dwarf book, but I am looking for more options.

Perhaps Races of Stone or another Dwarf Class book has what I need?

Also, does anyone know of a core class (levels 1-20) for dwarven runemasters that are treated as arcane spellcasters? I've seen similar PRCs, but they all require at least one level in wizard or sorcerer, and I would like to have dwarven runemasters without requiring a level in any previous arcane spellcasting class.

What I am aiming for is a dwarven craftmen class that can create and empower runes without also casting fireballs and invisibility as if he where a wizard.

Suggestions?

Thanks,
George

RoS has rules about Rune Circles - magic used to "fuse runes into the ground" [see pages 167 and on].

Indeed, RoS has a 5-level Prestige Class named Runesmith, which, as a class feature, can endorse objects with runes [aka arcane spells], but this PrC also requires the character to be an arcane spellcaster [see pages 118-120].

In Dwarves Deep [TSR 9300 FR11 Accessory], a 2nd Ed. A&D Supplement by Ed Greenwood, there were some [divine] Rune Spells [p. 41/42], most famous the Rune of Power with various uses. In the inside cover there were detailed the Dethek Runes and the making of Runestones.

Kind regards
