RPG Print News – Melsonian Arts Council, Horrible Guild, and More

World building support debuts for Dungeons & Dragons 2024 Edition along with new adventures. The OSR and Mausritter also get adventures. The complete collection of Wilderfeast is available. Finally, a mini combo of halfing and pony are available for fantasy RPGs like The One Ring.

With some RPG companies struggling, I wanted to mention that Troll Lord Games both prints in the USA (they are a USA based company), and they print softcover RPGs in their own printing facility. They have offered to talk to any RPG publishers who are struggling with printing in the USA, and they plan to expand their own printing capacity. They are working on getting dice manufacturing available in the USA again as well.

Note: RPG Print News covers recent RPG releases and some classics, reprints, and sales available from retailers. It does not cover products that are available directly to customers only through Kickstarter or as print on demand.

Fever Swamp Remastered | Fever Swamp Remastered – Deluxe Bundle by Melsonian Arts Council
  • SYSTEM: OSR
  • PRODUCT TYPE: hardcover adventure/bundle of book and tokens
  • RETAIL PRICE: $35/$57
  • DESCRIPTION: In Fever Swamp Remastered, the swamp has returned even bigger, better, and damper than it has ever been. Features: the cult-ridden base town of Clink, 15 hex map locations, two dungeons, a mobile map feature: the Corpse Pile, six isolated swamp clans each with customs and peculiarities, almost 20 new monsters, river boat rules of OD&D including fighting and sinking, sickness and infections, and six horrible swamp witches. New in this edition: a new dungeon location, five new swamp witches, reworked swamp dweller clans, and new boat and travel rules. The deluxe bundle includes a set of different-sized boat counters and PC tokens to represent the party and their hirelings, their position in combat, and whether they have fallen into the turbid black waters below. Turbid is a great word; adding that one to my lexicon.

The House of Cursed Things | Lady Trevant's Bones by Critical Kit LTD
  • SYSTEM: Dungeons & Dragons 2024 Edition
  • PRODUCT TYPE: softcover adventures
  • RETAIL PRICE: $6 each
  • DESCRIPTION: The House of Cursed Things is a one session horror and mystery adventure for four to five third-level PCs. Riath Burgess bought the house next to Raincroft Cemetery. He hires the PCs to fulfill the final steps required to seal the deal. The PCs must play a dreadful game created by an unfriendly neighborhood necromancer to find and dispel cursed objects. And there are no rules. Four to five sixth level PCs can spend three to six hours looking for Lady Trevant's Bones. The PCs are asked to help two rival factions of elves remove an evil necromancer from a hallowed tomb. Includes two new magical items and a brief history of Orphan’s Bay. Not sure if these two adventures are related, but an enterprising GM could combine them over the course of a growing campaign with the necromancer in both adventures being the same recurring villain. Another option would be to allow the PCs to be the ones to buy the house and feel tricked by the necromancer, later leading to the second adventure and some revenge.
