Despite the negative content in the video, Chris takes time to praise the work and effort that went into the original edition of Odysseys & Overlords. With the new edition and its move to the Savage Worlds engine, you’ll get four kingdoms that range from an aquatic land to an island of changelings to an evil empire and more.

Thracia is a stone cold classic. Best dungeon ever written? In this random dudes opinion YES.

You should back this no questions asked.

Ok you did, great keep reading

Personally I am disappointed in this project that some of the stretch goals include adding content in the dungeon by expanding it. I'm cool with new content in the surrounding area, but would have perfered the original dungeon be presented as designed not expanded.

Why are they messing with perfection? Ms Jaquays created a masterpiece and Goodman wants to add too it. Will they make it better? Maybe, but why risk it. Sometimes things are great they way they are and should be peserved that way. Especially when the orginal is no longer in print.

I didn’t watch the videos at the bottom yet but in most of their OAR books, they included the original and the 5e or DCC converted adventure. Is that the case for this one and if so, does the added material only apply to the converted portion? This adventure appeals to the mid 80s gamer in me when Undermountain was fun but I’m not as sure it does as much now. The old “keep plundering a mega dungeon for treasure” doesn’t hold as much allure now UNLESS there is a well designed or thought out story for the continual dungeon dives. does caverns of Thracia do that well? Thanks in advance for the feedback.

That's how Dark Tower was: original module reprinted unchanged (except hardcover and possibly some copyright updates) in one book, then a second book with the full module plus expansions all converted and almost entirely rewritten for 5e or DCC, plus a third book of related, additional 5e or DCC content, mostly just add-on adventures in the surrounding region with ample connections back to the (updated version of the) module.

Me either, but reading the description it doesn't say it is included so I don't think it is.

What's great about the adventure is the freedom the players have to explore and discover the "story" of the dungeon and make thier "own story". No two playthroughs are going to be the same as there are so many routes and ways to navigate it. You are probably not going to experience it all but that's part of the charm.

The plot isn't ground breaking, and it's really a excues for inding loot when loot equated XP, but it's also about beating the dungeon and pressing your luck and wondering what if we tried climbing up that a way and finding your self in the back of a section not the front but the module supports that because it's a well laid out sandbox of a dungeon.

The listing on Amazon.can mentions it's two volumes one with the original printing, one with the remastered 5e version. I'm not sure how accurate the posting is, as it's been up for a few months (I preordered it April 15).
