D&D 5E Rogue Resilient Feat

ManBagel

Messing up everything in DnD since 2019
So my rogue/bard has a 13 in strength and a 10 in constitution. We are using a point buy system and after putting points in other stats I have one left over. This is my question. Would getting the Resilent Feat for Con saves later be worth it on the rogue? The 11 in con means that I get a 12 in con and proficiency in con saving throws. Is using gaining the feat worth it? How I’m building my rogue is a Skill Monkey that only takes 3 levels of bard so he can use two hand crossbows with sneak attack and sharpshooter feat for damage.

Maybe I'm missing how the bard is helping there. Maybe I'm also missing how you ever get to use 2 hand crossbows (reloading is a thing).

In any event, you will likely go many sessions without ever noticing a real benefit for resilient con. I guess if you are worried about spell concentration in battle - but generally spells will be worse than attacking.

So while resilient (whatever) is certainly not bad I think I would find a different feat to take. I would lean more toward crossbow expertise in that event and use a single hand crossbow and make 2 attacks with it - while also getting to ignore any detriments for being in melee.

I meant that my bad. I meant 1 crossbow with Crossbow Expert

Are you trying to plan a level 20 build? What is the bard for?
Bard is for spells I’m playing a Homebrew Rogue Subclass and I want the extra proficiencies and spells. Arcane Trickster isn’t a good option since I’m just gaining some utility. Message, Disguise Self, So on.

You cant use two at the same time. They have the loading property, and you need a free hand to load them.

You can use the Crossbow master feat with a single hand crossbow (and gain the bonus action attack). Check the wording of the feat.

Proficiency in Con saves is a fine thing, but it sounds like you’ll be stretched a little anyways. You want crossbow expert and sharpshooter, plus you have both dex and cha worth maxing. And you lose an ASI from multiclassing. But you have to put the spare point somewhere, nothing wrong with Con.
